Project description: In 2014 university of utah was building a new facility for their law school. The building was being built to leeds platinum standards. As a result it had 6 larger water tanks in the bottom of the building to store potable water for cooling and other recycling uses. The building also had some occupied space that was adjacent to the tanks on the same lower level of the building. After constructing the tanks and erecting the building it became clear that a waterproof liner was needed. They had some cracks in the walls that were allowing ground water through and into the occupied space.
Application: The concrete was shot blasted to spec. The cracks were filled with freedomtuff 5145 polyurea caulking. Freedomtuff 6160 epoxy primer was applied at 5 mils. Freedomtuff 2210 PW (NSF/ANSI 61 listed) was applied at 100 mils.
