Freedomtuff: 6160 primer
Freedomtuff 2243 cr polyurea
Project description: Fertizona is serious about containment. For many years they have relied on epoxy products to provide secondary containment at their facilities across arizona. One of the problems they faced with epoxies was cracking and chipping because of movement, traffic and objects being dropped on the liner. When gamez lining systems approached fertizona with a polyurea solution they were sold on the advantages.
Application: the concrete was shot blast to achieve a csp 6 – 7. A two component caulk was used to create smooth transitions (45 deg) around edges. The concrete was then washed with a soluble salt remover cleaner. Ft-6160 primer was applied at a 5 – 7 mils and a partial broadcast of #30 sand was added. Ft-2243 cr polyurea was applied at 100 mils.

The FreedomTuff® product line is a revelation of what Polyureas, Polyurethanes, Polyaspartics and Epoxies are about. When so many products have been “made” for maximum impact, at Freedom® Chemical Corporation we’ve been content to let our products speak quietly. No need to shout when you have something special to say.
