Project Description
The Crystal Cathedral is a well know religious site throughout the world, in 2019 started construction on a new mausoleum. The design included a portion of the mausoleum below grade, requiring a waterproof membrane to prevent water from entering the mausoleum.
The application consisted of pre-spraying sheets of geo-textile with the FreedomTuff® 2202 polyurea leaving the perimeter edges clean. Once the sheets were (installed) nailed into the lagging the perimeter edges were attached using the FreedomTuff® 2202 allowing for a monolithic surface.
After all the sheets were hung, the rebar was installed and the shotcrete was placed, against the sprayed sheets of Geo-Textile fabric.
The FreedomTuff® product line is a revelation of what Polyureas, Polyurethanes, Polyaspartics and Epoxies are about. When so many products have been “made” for maximum impact, at Freedom® Chemical Corporation we’ve been content to let our products speak quietly. No need to shout when you have something special to say.
