Project description: CDW worked with freedom chemical to provide a durable and decorative flooring system for one of their clients. The client had used epoxy decorative flooring in the past but struggled with premature failure due to the lack of elasticity.
Application: the system was for storage units with both on grade and elevated flooring. The on grade storage units were over a concrete slab . The elevated units were over 1 ½” tong & groove plywood. Both the concrete slab and plywood were prepared according to freedom specifications. Freedomtuff™ 6160 epoxy primer was first applied at 5 mils. Freedomtuff stonegrip ™ was applied at 10 mils and decorative chips were broadcast to excess. The chips were raked smooth with a flat edge. Freedomtuff gripseal™ clear was then applied at 5 mils to create a durable easy to clean finish .
Results: upon completion of the project, the owners were very happy with the results. They liked the decorative finish, durability, and ease of cleaning. The client specified freedoms flooring system for 3 more jobs in 2012 & 2013.

The FreedomTuff® product line is a revelation of what Polyureas, Polyurethanes, Polyaspartics and Epoxies are about. When so many products have been “made” for maximum impact, at Freedom® Chemical Corporation we’ve been content to let our products speak quietly. No need to shout when you have something special to say.
